Participation

The establishment of Positive Energy Districts and Positive Energy Neighborhoods requires the commitment of various stakeholders and their willingness to participate. It should be valuable and profitable both for the residents, as well as for infrastructure and service providers by providing the ability to drive local environmental, economic, or social benefits for the district. As a methodological reference, SIMPLY POSITIVE will use the adjustable, flexible mitigation pathway from the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, with the key elements of establishing political commitment, creating a baseline review, setting strategic targets, deriving an actions plan, and finally constantly monitoring the progress.
